An Engineering Manager with manufacturing engineering experience and a PE registration is needed for a direct hire position located in eastern Alabama. Relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
Manage and coordinate the work of engineering staff placing particular emphasis on process development and standardize cost estimating efforts with the objective of streamlining production lines to increase/expand capacity
Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods - including but not limited to CNC mills, lathes, automation, assembly, press, (raw material castings & forgings)
Provide guidance regarding design/manufacturing concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
Maintain records and reporting system for coordination and evaluation of product performance vs. estimates in order to evaluate variances
Assist the manufacturing department in the development of processes, tooling and procedures to produce the required products
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
Bachelor degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or related Engineering field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years related manufacturing managerial experience
Comprehensive manufacturing engineering experience, including standard developments, equipment justifications, plant layouts and facilities design in manufacturing industries
Knowledge of manufacturing standards ISO, TS, PPAP, FMEA, SOP, project management tools and techniques
Experience managing portfolio of manufacturing engineering projects in a setting having CNC equipment, automation, and assembly producing finish product from concept/part print using casting and forge raw material
Must have a PE registration
