Job Summary:
The Department of Sociology and Social Work at Jacksonville State University (JSU) invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. Our Department offers undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate programs of study in Sociology and Social Work.
Experience teaching online and in traditional classroom courses is desired.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree appropriate for the discipline or training and experience in the field to be qualified to teach specific courses. Terminal degree may be required for teaching graduate or doctoral courses. "Terminal degree" refers to the highest degree awarded in a discipline. The doctorate is the terminal degree for most disciplines represented at JSU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in appropriate discipline

Current Adjuncts are not required to submit a cover letter, CV, Teaching Philosophy and transcripts, as these are already on file with the hiring department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
